Maybe there’s some functional reason behind Honor’s decision, but having a glass back on its successor Honor 20, it will continue as a style choice.
2] 12+2MP rear camera and 16+2MP front camera: We know many smartphone makers use two lenses in their phones’ rear and front cameras. But Honor 10 only has one lens in each of these two places: 12MP + 2MP dual-lens rear camera and 16MP + 2MP dual-lens front camera. This makes Honor 10 the smallest smartphone in the world with two lenses, and the only one with a big aperture like f/1.8.
This single camera lens allows Honor 10 to record good quality images while keeping its cost low, as it doesn’t have to use as much glass in each of these places. It also allows Honor 10 to be light and thin!
3] 2160p + 1080p display: Honor 10 has two displays: the smaller one is a 5.84-inch IPS LCD panel, and the larger one is a 6.03-inch IPS LCD panel that delivers 2160 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) resolution at 409 ppi pixel density. In addition to the standard FHD+ display, Honor 10 also comes with a 120Hz display that you can watch movies smoothly on!
4] Dual SIM card slots: Honor 10 has two SIM card slots, each with dual standby function.
One of these slots is for 2G/3G networks and supports 800MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 1900MHz and 2100MHz frequencies; the other is for 4G networks at 700MHz, 1800MHz and 2600MHz frequencies.
And, of course, you can use the two SIM slots at the same time. One possibility is using a 2G/3G and 4G connection at the same time. The other possibility is using two different network providers on one SIM card slot so that you can get a stronger signal in different areas.
5] Android 9 Pie: Honor 10 runs on Android 9 Pie with EMUI interface based on Android. This allows you to have all sorts of options for customizing your phone’s appearance! You can select from a long list of themes and wallpapers, change fonts, and add widgets and shortcuts to the desktop screen(s).
